Wednesday, 22-Nov-00 12:39:21 EST My conure thinks he's human :-) I have a Jenday Conure called Buster who is about 8 monthes old. He has such a personality and along with that comes a terrible temper, but he is extremely lovable and I adore him :-) But that's neither here nor there. I really think my conure believes he's human. He has no desire to stay in his cage... insists on being out with me and my husband. He loves to listen to the radio,tease my cats and then bite their paws or nose when they get too close. He comes off my shoulder and eats with me when I'm having a cup of fruit yogurt (he doesn't like cherry but seems to be quite fond of peach and rasberry)so I put a spoon with yogurt on it for him to eat while I eat mine. He takes away my rummikub tiles when i'm playing and insists on taking the keys off my keyboard with his beak. When company comes over I cannot shut him up for the life of me... even when I take him out of the cage... he still screams to insure he is the center of attention. My hands are all torn up from trying to put him back in the cage. If anyone has any suggestions on how to break him of this biting habit when he gets mad... my ears are all open.
